Gitzo presents two completely new Series 2 tripods that bring advanced materials, Gitzo technology, performance and quality to our aluminum tripod range. The castings are made of Soulid 238®, our unique technical compound 30% lighter than magnesium but just as strong and with great vibration dampening properties. We’ve incorporated a Basalt center column (20% lighter than aluminum) for further weight reduction and to improve stabilisation and performance.
Most importantly, the aluminum tube used for the legs is also new: 30% lighter than its predecessor, with Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR), 1.2mm wall thickness and brushed matt black finish for improved locking performance and minimised reflectivity.
We’ve also put technology to work on the leg warmers: light, soft and with a new ergonomic design that maximises grip and comfort when the tripod is carried over the shoulder.
