Ocean Traveler components are made of high grade Stainless Steel. The parts are not treated nor painted with any protective or no-finger print coating. The high quality finishing is the same used for surgery equipment. It guarantees a surface completely impenetrable at microscopic level by impurities and corrosive agents.
The Ocean Traveler Stainless Steel center ball head can be easily disassembled in order to clean the inner parts from salt, dust and sand that may get trapped inside. A special grease is supplied in order to lubricate all components after cleaning. It is important to minimize the quantity of grease used. An excessive amount may attract additional dust and sand.
The beautiful and revolutionary design has been developed by advanced 3D modelling software to ensures the maximum stiffness of the structure with the minimum weight. In order to manufacture such a design, it has been necessary to adopt a highly sophisticated process that enables to produce high precision complex structures with ultra thin walls.
Ocean-Lock is a perfected G-Lock system that, thanks to special inserts at both ends, minimises the amount of water and debris that may enter tubes and treads. The upper Stainless Steel leg ends are provided with a special funnel-like hole that allows to empty the small amount of water that may have entered the tubes.
